Academic background

I have completed my Bachelor’s degree from Navyug Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Lucknow University in 2020. Thereafter, I joined the Integrated MS-PhD program (Mathematics) at IISER Tirupati (2020). Currently, I’m working under the supervision of Dr. Girja Shanker Tripathi.

Supervisor Details

Dr. Girja Shanker Tripathi works in the areas of algebraic geometry, algebraic K-theory, motivic homotopy theory. His research interests lie in various generalized cohomology theories  closely related to algebraic K-theory.

Research interest

Algebraic K-theory is a generalized cohomology theory and it provides algebraically and geometrically meaningful invariants of algebraic varieties and it has offered many unifying themes in mathematics by providing techniques and tools that apply in diverse and seemingly far off subdisciplines.  For algebraic varieties there are other generalised cohomology theories that are either very closely related to algebraic K-theory or have been inspired by it- motivic cohomology theory, algebraic cobordism, the theories of higher Witt and higher Grothendieck-Witt groups, and symmetric and quadratic L-theories being a few. My research interests lie in understanding some of these.
