Instructions to Apply to the Program:
Common Application Fee:
Application Fees (non-refundable): Rs 1000/- for applicants belonging to General/OBC-NCL/general-EWS categories and Rs. 500/- for applicants belonging to SC/ST categories.

Choose the payment category as MS-R Application Fee: Once you’ve filled out the necessary information and clicked on the proper payment category, please double-check the category and the amount you are paying before submitting your payment.
After paying your application fee, please note down the UTR number and mention it in the appropriate application form (link given below). Your application will be considered complete only after you provide the UTR number in the application form.

Note: The Division of Biological Sciences offers two specializations – (a) Disease Biology, and (b) Plant Sciences. The specialization you are applying to, has to be selected during the application process itself.
Candidates interested in making applications for both the specializations should make two different applications, paying an application fee for each application.

Note: The Division of Physical Sciences offers multiple specializations. The specialization can be chosen after a candidate joins the program. When applying, the candidate has to apply for the MS (R) program in physical science.

General Information:
GoI’s reservation policy norms will apply.
The rank in the Common Entrance test (JAM or equivalent) must be valid at the time of admission. Candidates will be shortlisted based on JAM (or equivalent) rank.
Applicants in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply. However, their final selection is subject to their successful completion of the Bachelor’s degree with the above-mentioned requirements at the time of admission.
Applying does not automatically guarantee selection of a candidate. Department(s) may apply additional criteria to select the students.
NRIs/PIOs foreign nationals need to have a valid JAM (or equivalent) rank at the time of admission.
The Institute reserves the right to cancel the admission, without assigning any reason, and also, if the details provided in the application form are later found to be suppressed and/or distorted in any aspect.
