Soft and Active Matter Group (Ravi Kumar Pujala)
Our research group focuses on studying physics of soft matter systems both passive and active systems; Fabricate new mesostructured materials by self-assembly. The ultimate goal is to develop new functional soft materials with reconfigurable structures at the nano and meso-scales.
Organic opto-electronics group (Kanagasekaran)
Our research group concentrates on the fabrication of organic semiconductor devices for a range of optoelectronic applications, including light emitting field effect transistors, photovoltaic devices, light emitting diodes and sensors. We aim to realize the electrically driven laser using organic materials. Organic laser is a new research could make lasers emitting a wide range of… Continue reading Organic opto-electronics group (Kanagasekaran)
Nonlinear Dynamics: Nonlinear and Classical Optics (Thokala Soloman Raju)
Our group mainly focuses on studying self-similar optical waves and optical rogue waves analytically and numerically, in different nonlinear waveguides. We also study their dynamical behavior by appropriately tailoring the dispersion and nonlinearity profiles.
Quantum Theory of Nanomaterials Group (Sudipta Dutta)
Under the broad umbrella of theoretical condensed matter physics, we explore electronic, magnetic, optical and transport properties of low-dimensional strongly-correlated materials and topological quantum phases
AstroBioLab (Sunil Kumar)
Our research group focuses on laboratory astrophysics, astrochemistry, and molecular biophysics. We use multipole radiofrequency ion trapping technique to determine the absolute values of cross sections of photon-induced gas-phase processes involving molecular ions of astrophysical and biological interest and rate coefficients of gas-phase reactions of astrophysical relevance.
Condensed Matter Theory (Sasmita Mohakud)
We study the ground state, low energy, thermodynamic properties and phase transition of quantum and frustrated spin systems. Furthermore, we try to understand the magnetization dynamics, coercive mechanisms in permanent magnets. We also focus on the charge transport mechanism, structural and electronic properties of organic and intercalated organic materials.
