Research Interests

  • Development of efficient routes for the syntheses of carbene stabilized zero valent heterodiatomic compounds with main group elements and/or mixed transition metal-main group elements with detail characterization by various spectroscopic techniques and studies of their electronic properties and bonding situation.

  • Homogeneous catalysis with cyclic alkyl(amino) carbene (cAAC)-transition metal complexes with low valent, low coordinate metal centers.

  • Methodology development for the syntheses of biologically relevant small organic molecules using commercially available transition metal catalyts .
