11.12.2019 - 13.12.2019: Sudipta has given an invited talk at YIMQCMT-2019 conference held at S. N. Bose National Center for Basic Sceinces, Kolkata. It is the second visit of the year to Kolkata....can not ask for more.

13.11.2019 - 14.11.2019: Sudipta has visited IISc., Bangalore for collaborative discussion with Prof. Arindam Ghosh and delivered a talk in Physics department. Enchanting experience to discuss with some of the best minds.

26.09.2019 - 28.09.2019: Sudipta has visited IIT Gandhinagar and delivered an invited talk. Thanks to Dr. Sairam Swaroop for nice hospitality. It was my first visit to Gujarat.

18.07.2019 - 20.07.2019: Sudipta has given an invited talk at CTMSE-2019 conference held at S. N. Bose National Center for Basic Sceinces, Kolkata. It is always good to visit Kolkata....my city.

09.06.2019 - 09.07.2019: Sudipta has visited Kwansei Gakuin University for collaborative research and delivered a lecture series on "Green's Function in Quantum Mechanics". No words are enough to express my gratitude to Prof. Wakabayashi for his kind hospitality. It is always special to interact with such bright students.

14.01.2019 - 18.01.2019: Prof. Katsunori Wakabayashi of Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan has visited our group for our collaborative research projects. He has also delivered a talk on "Topological Properties of Graphene and Related 2D Materials".

10.06.2018 - 09.07.2018: Sudipta has visited Kwansei Gakuin (KG) University, Sanda, Japan as a Visiting Faculty under the International Collaboration Fund of KG. During this visit he has delivered a short course on "Density Functional Theory" for Undergraduate and Masters students and pursued collaborative research project with Prof. Katsunori Wakabayashi.

10.12.2017 - 09.01.2018: Sudipta has visited Kwansei Gakuin University, Sanda, Japan as a Visiting Faculty under the funded project from Hyogo Overseas Research Network (HORN), Hyogo, Japan. During this visit he has delivered a short course on "Extremum Action Principle" for Undergraduate and Masters students and pursued collaborative research project with Prof. Katsunori Wakabayashi.

04.02.2017 - 05.02.2017: Organized workshop on "Hands-on training on telescope making and sky-watching" at IISER Tirupati. Undergraduate students from IISER Tirupati have attended this workshop. We have built a low-cost 6" telescope from readily available materials and had hands-on sessions on telescope mirror grinding.

11.12.2016 - 15.12.2016: Sudipta has given an invited talk at IUMRS-ICYRAM 2016 conference held at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

11.09.2016 - 12.09.2016: Organized workshop on "Basic Astronomy and Telescope Building" at IISER Tirupati. Undergraduate students from IISER Tirupati and IIT Tirupati have attended this workshop. Now, we have built a 6" telescope and skywatching becomes a regular acitivity at IISER Tirupati

11.06.2016 - 15.06.2016: Prof. Arghya Taraphder (Dept. of Physics, IIT-Kharagpur, India) has visited our group.

15.05.2016 - 23.05.2016: Sudipta has visited Kwansei Gakuin University, Kobe, Japan for collaborative research with Prof. Katsunori Wakabayashi. He has given hands-on training on Density Functional Theory (DFT) and SIESTA package to the undergraduate students of Wakabayashi Group.

02.05.2016: Early Career Research Award grant has been approved by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The research grant has been given for three years.

22.03.2016 - 28.03.2016: Dr. Nirupam Roy (Dept. of Physics, IIT-Kharagpur, India) has visited IISER Tirupati and has delivered two seminars on Astronomy for our undergraduate students.

07.03.2016 - 11.03.2016: Prof. Katsunori Wakabayashi of Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan has visited our group for our collaborative research projects. He has also delivered one introductory lecture on Graphene Electronics for our undergraduate students.

13.01.2016: The website of "Quantum Theory of Nanomaterials" (QTN) group has been launched.
